Long-time music executive to take the helm

Vancouver, BCPaul Ryan has been named General Manager of the Juno-Award nominated vocal ensemble: musica intima.

As a long time music industry professional, Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in artist management, music publishing, record company operations and concert production to his new role as General Manager at musica intima Society, a registered charity.

Originally from Toronto, Paul is co-founder and board member of SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, which celebrates the best in a cappella music from around the world.

Paul has coordinated concert production and tour logistics for hundreds of performances and dozens of tours worldwide, including concerts in Asia, Australia, Europe, Canada, and the United States.

"Paul Ryan's experience in arts management spans from Canada to the world stage, and from the renowned Canadian a cappella group The Nylons to global children's entertainer Raffi," says Don Brooks, President of musica intima's Board of Directors. "We look forward to working with Paul on the implementation of several new initiatives, including expanding the ensemble's touring opportunities."

Paul says; "Teaming up with this critically acclaimed vocal ensemble is a perfect fit. I understand the intricacies of the world of a cappella performance, touring and management, and together, we will expand music intima's touring schedule and broaden their audience."

In additional to leadership roles in the entertainment industry, Paul is President of Limelight Management Inc., where he consults for recording artists and songwriters, as well as provides his expertise for charitable organizations.

Nominated for three JUNO awards, the Vancouver-based conductorless vocal ensemble has released seven commercial recordings. musica intima’s album Clear (1999) was named one of the 30 best Canadian classical recordings ever by CBC.
