musica intima announces 2016-2017 season

Vancouver, BC—Professional vocal ensemble musica intima announces the launch of its 2016-17 season, featuring dynamic and sophisticated programming designed to highlight the traditional choral, contemporary crossover and fusion sounds that characterize the ensemble.

The upcoming season has some twists and turns, while staying true to the ensemble's polished and professional programming. The regular season includes a hint of international, a female focus and something for the entire family.

“We’re exploring with performances inspired by popular music, while also offering audiences our pristine traditional choral sounds. Later this year, our touring program is taking us to an international choral festival in South Korea and, as a special treat, we’re bringing that performance to audiences here at home.”

Without the presence of a conductor, musica intima performs breathtaking a cappella performances, making it an exciting and atypical choir comprised of professional singers.

Programming for the regular season focuses on connecting with audiences, the community and with classical music traditions in friendly and welcoming atmospheres, including the Waterfall Building at the entrance to Granville Island, and at Heritage Hall on Main Street.

Postcards: October 14

Family Day: February 13
A performance for the whole family!
