musica intima announces 2017-2018 season for 25th Anniversary

Vancouver, BC | Professional vocal ensemble musica intima announces its 2017-18 season, marking the organization’s 25th year as a vibrant and nourishing artistic force in Vancouver’s cultural community. This unique, conductor-less collective creates gorgeous and refreshing choral experiences of distinguished calibre.

The robust season runs from November to April, with nine concerts that feature new music, a holiday series, a special all-ages event designed for families, and plenty of choral music and contemporary crossover programming that highlights Canadian and international composers and arrangements.

“Audiences can expect to experience eye contact and intimate performances, with pristine and polished choral harmonies, exploring new choral landscapes and revisiting audience favourites,” says Siri Olesen, artistic manager at musica intima. “New this year is that we’ll be bringing our traditional choral Christmas concert to North Burnaby, but at our first show in November the ensemble will sing pieces from Egypt, the United States and Canada at a matinée and evening performance in downtown Vancouver.”

The 2017/18 Season begins on November 4 and culminates on April 15, 2018.
