to schedule an audition

Singers interested in auditioning for musica intima should email us with the following:

• Voice type
• Resume/CV (please include training, choral experience and contact information)

Upon receipt of your email, we will add you to our audition list. We will contact you when the next set of auditions are being held.

what to prepare

• Two (2) songs of contrasting styles
• At least one (1) of your selections should be in a language other than English
• You must provide your own accompanist

what to expect

We will ask you to perform your two prepared pieces. In addition, we may request:

• range tests (to hear how your voice moves through your registers)
• sight singing (the ensemble moves through repertoire very quickly)
• blend exercises (to hear how voices might work together in a section)
• an interview (topics may include your experience, career goals, administrative skills, etc.)
